Custom Designed & CNC Milled Screw Drive Gearbox Housing

 We manufactured and integrated this drive gear box housing for use in the medical industry. Composed of 6061-T6 aluminum with a yellow iridite chromate finish, we used a 3-axis CNC machine to perform profile milling, drilling, and tapping. Next, we performed deburring. Overall, the tightest tolerance upheld was +/- .0005, with an opposing bore tolerance of +/- .0002. Upon completion, the drive gear box housing measured 4 inches long, 4 inches wide, and 3.5 inches high, with a base material thickness of 4.25 inches.  |
