This project required welding together 5 individual components to manufacture a fan bracket assembly, for use in the industrial machining industry. We used SolidWorks to design the flat pattern, and sheet metal fabrication, welding, cutting, and bending to manipulate the 5052-H32 material. A total of 22 bends were made using 5 separate parts, with bend angles of 90 and 150 degrees. The fan bracket assembly was 19.75 inches long, 4 inches wide, 8.25 inches high, and 0.63and .090 inches thick, complete with a yellow iridite finish. |
